We would like to thank Noonie Fortin for adding this page to her website. We realize that she is very busy herself but she has found time to give us a little bit of help as well. We would like to invite you to visit our own site where you can actually order these books: LangMarc Publishing.

Our company was formed in 1991 originally to get our own written books published. Then we began to publish other author's books.

In 1995 we published a biography for the first time and it has been one of our best sellers. In 1997 we published a children's book for the first time. Since then we have published several fiction books as well as inspirational books.

Please take a look at some of the books shown below that we have done. To order them contact us by phone at 1-800-864-1648 or by email to LangMarc.

Memories of Maggie 360 pages-----57 photos-----Trade Paperback-----$15.95
This has been our best-selling book due to the perseverance of the author.

Memories of Maggie is about the woman Veterans lovingly called "Colonel Maggie" and "Old Lady of the Boondocks." Martha Raye, noted comedienne, jazz singer, and actress, was much more than just an entertainer to our troops in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Just ask them!

Born in a charity ward Martha Raye went on to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1993, the highest award America gives to civilians. Shunning publicity, she had spent over two years "in-country" in Vietnam entertaining and caring for and about our troops. She assisted in war-zone operating rooms, sang and danced at remote firebases, and remained "apolitical" about the war but not about "her" troops to whom she was truly devoted.

Al Hemingway, VIETNAM Magazine:
"Noonie Fortin has captured the essence of Martha Raye."

Meribeth Jones, Veterans' Voice:
"The description of how much warmth and caring could come from this woman offers readers a book that begs to be held in your lap and read."

Mark Leepson, The VVA Veteran:
"Noonie Fortin offers a heartfelt tribute to Martha Raye, well known for her unwavering loyalty to America's fighting men and women."

Jim Collins, The NCO Journal:
"This is an inspiring book about a remarkable woman whose heart was larger than her nickname of "Big Mouth."

General William C. Westmoreland, USA (Ret):
"Thank you for telling an important story--in fact recording American history."

Joseph Wilson Jr., former soldier USA:
"I have read both of Noonie's books. They show tremendous insight about Martha "Colonel Maggie" Raye and those she came in contact with...information collected and arranged were both compelling and interesting. I suggest these books be required reading by people of all ages. They will find out more about Maggie, the nation and themselves by what they read."

Potpourri Of War 278 pages-----61 photos-----Trade Paperback-----$15.95

Potpourri Of War is about the American people who served their country as military or civilian personnel mostly during the Vietnam War. It tells of women who have served in, or with, our military forces in every war, conflict, or police action in this century. Most were military personnel, USO members, Red Cross workers, Hollywood stars, and relatives of Veterans.

Do you know how many American women died during our wars? Do you know what POW-MIA issues are really about? Do you know what Rolling Thunder is? Do you know what a Gold Star Mother is? Questions asked by high school and college audiences, Veterans groups, community organizations, and writers groups are also included. The answers to these and many other questions can be found in Noonie Fortin's new book. These are just a few of the subjects discussed in this amazing book.

The tragedy of war is not gender specific! Neither is this book. It is a potpourri of personal experiences and reminiscences--some stunning, others fond, several profound. It is about unsung and uncommon heroes. A heartfelt tribute to those who have served, it tells of labors of love in war's worst places.

Dr. Gil Woodside, Jr.:
"Perhaps this resource book should be required reading for all of our young people...You just want to savor the contents."

Leon Fletcher, Writer, former Lieutenant Commander, USNR:
"Potpourri Of War is indeed a perfectly worded title for this new book. It is a 'potpourri'--a miscellaneous collection, as Webster states.

The author writes in a charming, personable, enthusiastic, readable style...with authority and experience...to help keep Martha Raye's memory alive, to urge students to learn about the Vietnam War and its Veterans, to help renew a sense of patriotism, to help keep the POW-MIA issue alive, and to honor the women and men who served and died in Vietnam. Those elements are indeed attained."

Joan Marcotte, teacher, former soldier, USAR:
"It is a great joy to see someone recognizing the work that women did for this country. It is equally sad to read of the many lives that were lost. Thank you for bringing this to the forefront and making us aware of their sacrifices. I for one have never been aware of 'Colonel Maggie's' extensive contributions to entertaining and working with our troops."

Doris "Dee" Chambers, former soldier (USA) and Veterans spouse:
"The section devoted to the history of the Vietnam War was and in fact is a necessary part of your book. There are many young people today who have no knowledge whatsoever of that War or period in our history. They need this information."

The next set of books are other books that LangMarc Publishing has done that I have read. They are all excellent books. They have published many other books also so please go to their website to check them all out. Meanwhile you can contact the publisher for them by sending email to LangMarc or by calling them at 1-800-864-1648.
