LangMarc Publishing We would like to thank Noonie Fortin for adding this page to her website. We realize that she is very busy herself but she has found time to give us a little bit of help as well. We would like to invite you to visit our own site where you can actually order these books: LangMarc Publishing. Our company was formed in 1991 originally to get our own written books published. Then we began to publish other author's books. In 1995 we published a biography for the first time and it has been one of our best sellers. In 1997 we published a children's book for the first time. Since then we have published several fiction books as well as inspirational books. Please take a look at some of the books shown below that we have done. Memories of Maggie is about the woman Veterans lovingly called "Colonel Maggie" and "Old Lady of the Boondocks." Martha Raye, noted comedienne, jazz singer, and actress, was much more than just an entertainer to our troops in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Just ask them! Born in a charity ward Martha Raye went on to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1993, the highest award America gives to civilians. Shunning publicity, she had spent over two years "in-country" in Vietnam entertaining and caring for and about our troops. She assisted in war-zone operating rooms, sang and danced at remote firebases, and remained "apolitical" about the war but not about "her" troops to whom she was truly devoted. Al Hemingway, VIETNAM Magazine: Meribeth Jones, Veterans' Voice: Mark Leepson, The VVA Veteran: Jim Collins, The NCO Journal: General William C. Westmoreland, USA (Ret): Joseph Wilson Jr., former soldier USA:
Potpourri Of War is about the American people who served their country as military or civilian personnel mostly during the Vietnam War. It tells of women who have served in, or with, our military forces in every war, conflict, or police action in this century. Most were military personnel, USO members, Red Cross workers, Hollywood stars, and relatives of Veterans. Do you know how many American women died during our wars? Do you know what POW-MIA issues are really about? Do you know what Rolling Thunder is? Do you know what a Gold Star Mother is? Questions asked by high school and college audiences, Veterans groups, community organizations, and writers groups are also included. The answers to these and many other questions can be found in Noonie Fortin's new book. These are just a few of the subjects discussed in this amazing book. The tragedy of war is not gender specific! Neither is this book. It is a potpourri of personal experiences and reminiscences--some stunning, others fond, several profound. It is about unsung and uncommon heroes. A heartfelt tribute to those who have served, it tells of labors of love in war's worst places. Dr. Gil Woodside, Jr.: Leon Fletcher, Writer, former Lieutenant Commander, USNR: The author writes in a charming, personable, enthusiastic, readable style...with authority and experience...to help keep Martha Raye's memory alive, to urge students to learn about the Vietnam War and its Veterans, to help renew a sense of patriotism, to help keep the POW-MIA issue alive, and to honor the women and men who served and died in Vietnam. Those elements are indeed attained." Joan Marcotte, teacher, former soldier, USAR: Doris "Dee" Chambers, former soldier (USA) and Veterans spouse: Use the buttons below to go to another page.
